Damon believes that Mental Health treatment should be as accessible as possible for all people who would like to seek help or support, regardless of their financial situation or background. He understands that mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being and that many individuals face barriers when trying to access necessary care.
Damon’s fees are well below the Australian Psychological Society’s 2025 recommendation of $311 per consultation (46-60 minutes), enabling him to offer a more affordable option for those who might otherwise be unable to seek assistance. Damon is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to improve their mental health and live fulfilling lives.
For individuals who cannot afford to access psychological treatment currently, Damon has also developed a variety of free resources, including his blog articles and podcast episodes. These can hopefully also assist people who would like to improve their mental health and well-being.

Medicare sessions are $200 for a 50-minute session. With a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can access up to 10 sessions per year, and receive a rebate of $141.85 per session. This means that it is $58.15 out of pocket per session.
Most of the clients Damon sees are either referred by their GP, or see a GP to get a referral to Damon and Mental Health Care Plan after booking in to see him.

For clients who would prefer to see Damon privately, are ineligible for Medicare, or have used up all their Medicare sessions for the calendar year, he charges $130 for a 50-minute session. These sessions can be held in-person in Southbank or via Telehealth (video or phone).
If you have private health insurance, Damon provides you with a receipt after the session, and you are then welcome to claim whatever you can through your insurance provider.

Damon sees some clients through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). As long as the necessary information is provided to Damon to submit a claim following the session, there are no out-of-pocket expenses.
